Epic first night

First night of DCon was epic! The day started great with the fastest badge pickup of any Con we have been to. Everyone that didn’t ride in on Wednesday rolled in throughout the day. Got some quite games in early and started having some light drinks. That was all going to change by nights end. Things started picking up when we hit the open gaming area. The volume of both our gaming intensity and alcohol consumption ramped up considerably. Before long we found ourselves pitted in a loud and long game of 8 player CockRoach Poker. The gauntlet was thrown down and the decision was made to give shots of whiskey out everytime a person took a card. Thirty or so shots later and we had a crowd of on lookers forming and cheering us on. We had our typical “Challaaaaannnnnggeeeee!”  shotted as well as some other new instant classics like “Dad… You gave me a wimpy shot”. Needless to say it was the best Cock Roach Poker game ever and that is saying a lot with our group. We have had some really intense ones in the past.

 The party didn’t stop there. We kicked off an impromptu game of Werewolf. We didn’t have cards but that didn’t stop us as we fashioned a deck out to the CockRoach Poker cards. (Those cards saw some serious action) The crowd that had gathered to watch us play CRP wanted in on the action and the first round of Werewolf had 17 players. Again we spiked the volume and rowdiness needle and drew yet an even bigger crowd. The second game had 28 players and even more wanting to play after that. We closed down the playing after that and went on a walk-about. Not a lot going on at 4am on a Thursday night even at DCon but we did see Zabo (Sandeep Parikh) and Clara (Robin Thorsen) of The Guild in the hallway on the way back to the room and stopped for a photo opp.

Great first night. Let’s keep it going.

Gillis, Skye, and a small Crimson Castle contigency will be leaving Tuscaloosa at 8am Thursday morning.  One of us may ride back with him for comfortablility.

I will be returning Tuesday late evening and need to repack and do some laundry so I think lets plan for a noon'esk departure Wed.? for those leaving then.  Maybe we can hit medevil times or the seed.

I also have a suggestion on the sleeping arrangments, not that we will be doing much of that but since Ian and JohnDune bring alot of games it might be best if they are switched to the convention hotel so its easier to faciliate bringing games to common gaming area in Hilton (rain, street, etc).  Any feedback there?

12 Days Till Dcon

What's up guys, set this up for us in Korea.  Maybe it will be useful for keepin up with each other since a few will not be in the convention hotel.
